On 26 August 2019, the newly built nursery at the Escuela para Futuro school in León, Mexico, opened its doors. 90 children started the new school year, benefitting from many different educational opportunities.

After completing the extensive renovations, Escuela para Futuro now has lots of space and can therefore offer more opportunities for education. After the summer holidays, the nursery was opened with three different classes. 90 pupils could look forward to a new school year on 26 August. The opening of a day-care centre for 40 pupils was postponed as there were more applications than expected.

The pupils will be well cared for by a great team of nursery staff: three professors, four assistants, one general coordinator and a psychologist will ensure that everything runs smoothly. There are set teaching times, from 8.30 am to 2.15 pm each day, and a fixed schedule. The subjects are varied: in addition to English, music and dancing, there’s also sports, IT, early childhood development support, ethics, and citizenship.

Pupils and families alike are thankful for such early educational opportunities which create a sound basis for a successful educational career.

Continuously supporting schools in their operation is just as well part of our work as is the construction and improvement of school infrastructure. Creating access to a secure educational environment free of charge in poor regions with comparatively high educational costs and inadequate public facilities is our goal.
