In the course of further website development to improve our services, it may occur that supplements to this Data Protection Declaration are necessary. In this case, we will inform you in advance and obtain your separate consent if needed.

2. Donation form

When agreeing to become an educational sponsor or making a donation by filling out this donation form, you agree that the following data can be forwarded to the “Child & Family Foundation – Association for supporting and promoting children, adolescents and families in need” (referred to in the following as “Child & Family Foundation”) for processing: First name, surname, address, email address and telephone number

Purpose of your donation

There are two ways to support the Child & Family Foundation: by becoming an educational sponsor or making an educational dona-tion. Educational sponsors provide ongoing, sustainable support that is not tied to a specific child or person but instead goes straight to our global charitable education projects. The funds generated in this way are used to expand existing projects and turn new ideas for projects into reality. In contrast, an educational donation is a one-off donation that goes towards maintaining and expanding our existing projects. The Child & Family Foundation will use your donation where it is needed the most.

Which data will we use and pass on to others?

The Child & Family Foundation will record and process the following personal data, which will be collected, stored and processed during the donation process: your full name, your date of birth, your postal address, your telephone number, your email address, plus the data entered into the form, i.e. the donation amount, the payment interval and the payment method. The Child & Family Foundation employs the services of Wikando GmbH, Schießgrabenstr. 32, 86150 Augsburg, Germany, to process its donations. Your personal data will be used exclusively for the purpose of processing your donation. Furthermore, the Child & Family Foundation will send you newsletters during the course of the year (by email or post) to let you know how your sponsorship or donation has helped and what the Foundation has been able to achieve as a result. The Child & Family Foundation will also use your personal data for this purpose. You can opt out of this newsletter at any time.

How safe is the donation form and money transfer process?

The Child & Family Foundation donation form is not stored on the www.childandfamily.foundation server but only appears here. Your data is sent in encrypted form straight to the high-security servers used by Wikando GmbH Fundraisingbox, which processes online donations for the Child & Family Foundation.

To make sure that your data is transferred in a secure and encrypted manner, your online donation is processed using “SSL Secure” encryption. SSL protects communication between the web browser and the high-security server at Fundraisingbox (Wikando GmbH). When using SSL, a communication channel is established between the web browser and the server and is blocked from third party access. This enables you to transmit confidential information like your bank details and credit card data without worrying about it being accessed by third parties.

SSL processes all donations in encrypted form with selected payment providers. SEPA direct debit micropayments (only in the SEPA EURO zone), credit card payments, advance payments in the Eurozone are processed by micropayment™ GmbH, Scharnweberstrasse 69, D-12587 Berlin, Germany. Payments with PayPal are processed by PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A., 22-24 Boulevard Royal, L-2449 Luxembourg. Direct transfers are processed by SOFORT GmbH, Theresienhöhe 12, 80339 Munich, Germany. The maximum securi-ty standards are applied throughout the donation transaction. Further information is available on the Fundraisingbox (Wikando GmbH) website: http://www.fundraisingbox.com/sicherheit If you have any questions on the security of our online donation process, please email us direct at: office@childandfamily.foundation.
