Renovations continue

To make sure the school is up and running again in no time, the construction team is under pressure to repair the damaged buildings.

As part of the first step of the renovation project, Afripanel, a firm in Johannesburg, pre-fabricated the panels required for the school and delivered them.

Additionally, all the furniture damaged by the storm was removed from the building and piles of rubble was carted off the site. Subsequently, the site was cleared completely and a construction site set up. The damaged sections of the concrete foundations were also repaired.

During the first building phase, the kindergarten was restored to its former glory. The outer walls and the roof were renewed and works began on the electrics. New loos and sanitary facilities were installed and the kindergarten was given a new coat of paint.

In our projects, our main focus is on educational support, especially in our school projects. We believe that education is the pathway to empower people to build a better future for themselves.

Continuously supporting schools in their operation is just as well part of our work as is the construction and improvement of school infrastructure. Creating access to a secure educational environment free of charge in poor regions with comparatively high educational costs and inadequate public facilities is our goal.
