A special Christmas present for children in Ljubljana

Our annual Christmas campaign has become a tradition. Every December, together with employees of the myWorld Group and Lyconet Austria GmbH, we fulfill the Christmas wishes of financially, physically or mentally disadvantaged children in Europe.

The pattern is the same every year. We receive requests from institutions that look after children and young people who, for various reasons, are not doing so well and whose parents cannot easily afford Christmas presents. After a detailed needs assessment and analysis, we select the institution whose protégés are having a particularly hard time this year and get to work together with our supporters.

This year, we were able to fulfil the Christmas wishes of visually impaired and otherwise handicapped children in Slovenia, who are cared for in Ljubliana by the Center IRIS, the Centre for Education, Rehabilitation, Inclusion and Counselling of Blind and Partially Sighted and the non-profit organization Vidim Cilj.

The festive gift giving ceremony took place on December 11 at the IRIS Center in Ljubljana. As we believe it is important to get to know the institutions we work with and the children we support in person, we traveled to Slovenia especially for this event so that we could personally give each child their gift. The Center and Vidim Cilj threw a wonderful little Christmas party and the joy was palpable. The young guests were delighted with the lovingly wrapped presents and the personal Christmas wishes they received from their "Christmas angels" and it was a wonderful moment for everyone.
