Five years ago, the Escuela Lyoness started with 30 students. Today, 177 students are receiving the foundation for a successful life. Escuela Lyoness has not only made a name for itself as a good school. Their football teams are also feared opponents.
A big football match to celebrate 5 years
Escuela Lyoness was founded in 2012. To celebrate, the school hosted a football tournament. In honour of this special day, the team played in brand-new football kits.
Seeing as football has been an ongoing tradition at the Escuela Lyoness, it was clear that the anniversary celebrations would include this favourite sport: 5 schools from the area and their football teams were invited to a huge jubilee tournament.
Numerous spectators, parents, students came to cheer on the young players and had reason to rejoice: The prize for the top scorer went to Milton Villanueva from the hosting team. As a team, the Escuela Lyoness made it to the semi-finals yet had to leave the fight for the title to the teams of Regis Benedith and Jode Trinidad. Nevertheless, it was a joyous day for all that included a communal lunch and celebration where opponents became friends.
