A special Christmas gift for children in Hungary

This Christmas we have teamed up with the non-profit organization ÁGOTA Alapítvány in Szegedin, Hungary to bring joy to children living in state care.

There are many reasons why children cannot live with their biological families. The staff at ÁGOTA Alapítvány know them all, as they have been looking after children and young people in state care from 76 residential homes in 19 counties since 1996.

They provide support with training and job searches, organize events and excursions and help with the procurement of school materials and other everyday necessities.

With so many protégés, the need for donations in kind is always high, especially when it comes to school supplies. When we heard about the important work of the association from our long-standing supporter Antal Gergics, we decided to help.

Thanks to our wonderful community, we succeeded in organizing more than 200 school bags, which were wrapped for the childres as presents under the tree at a wonderful Christmas party on 19 December.

In our projects, our main focus is on educational support, especially in our school projects. We believe that education is the pathway to empower people to build a better future for themselves.

Continuously supporting schools in their operation is just as well part of our work as is the construction and improvement of school infrastructure. Creating access to a secure educational environment free of charge in poor regions with comparatively high educational costs and inadequate public facilities is our goal.

Hundreds of children attend our schools around the world, from India to Central America, from South Africa to the Philippines, thanks to the generosity of our heroes.

Many women and men support us and have supported us through generous donations.

Nevertheless, only a few have taken the responsibility, the challenge, and the courage to donate regularly through our sponsorship programme.
