Project Description

The Osnovna šola IV in Murska Sobota is a special school for children with physical and intellectual developmental disabilities. Two school programs based on the needs of the children will be taught. One program is adapted to the needs of children with mild disabilities. The other, to the needs of children with severe disabilities. During the school year 2011/12, 102 students from the entire Pomurje region were taken care of. As all other students, these children also need a good amount of exercise.

In order to provide the children with sufficient exercise and learning possibilities, the school has tried for several years to equip a room that is tailored to the specific needs of its students. This is now possible, thanks to the support of the Lyoness Child & Family Foundation.

Project Goals

With the new exercise space, the children should have the opportunity to further develop their sensory and motor skills, spatial orientation, balance and coordination while also having fun learning and exercising. The CFF would like to give the children the opportunity to establish a base for their future lives.
