Teaser Photo Refurbishing project for the "Busteni" Sanatorium School - Teaching equipment for people with special needs

A cooperation project between two foundations, the Lyoness Child & Family Foundation and the Sanatorium School Balneoclimateric de Copii, Busteni

Project Description

The Sanatorium School "Busteni" in Romania is a special Organisation. It is a medical facility, which also offers a teaching programme for the patients. This way children that are in the facility for medical reasons and are unable to go to school, can still carry on with their education. The school has a nursery and a preschool class, as well as a class for the school years I-VIII.
The pupils come from children's homes or social deprived und/or broken families and mostly suffer from breathing illnesses and variable psychomotor problems.

At present, the sanatorium school has insufficient furniture and the furniture they have is very old. There is also not enough storage space for the learning material.
Thanks to the support of the Lyoness Child & Family Foundation Association, the sanatorium school will be completely refurbished.

Project Goals

The project aims at fitting the ‟Busteni” sanatorium school out with sufficient new furniture.
This includes:
- - Desks
- Chairs
- Tables
- Cupboards and lockers for storing learning material.

By acquiring new and sufficient furniture, an ideal and comfortable learning environment will be created for the pupils.
