Project Description

The Children's Village is a facility that houses about 40 children (social orphans) and some single mothers, and offer them a home.
The institution has set itself the goal to provide the children and mothers the best care possible and to provide them with a family-like structure at the orphanage.

The construction work of the Children's Village was started in 1983 and was completed in 1986. It is located on a secluded hill. The large park offers about 40 children enough space to play and movement as well as a sheltered home. The village consists of eight single-family homes.

After almost 30 years since the village was completed loads of necessary renovations were now required. The masonry of the buildings was partially damaged by moisture and required urgently a restoration. As the financial resources of the facility were not sufficient to realize this project the Lyoness Child & Family Foundation Association had decided to realize the most important part of the renovation, with the aim to provide the children and their mothers an appropriate environment in which they can feel at home.

It deserves a big thank you to the staff of Lyoness Italy und the educational sponsors, who helped to realize this project.

Project Goals

The aim of this project was to realize the main part of the renovation of the main building of the orphanage and to provide the children and their mothers again a suitable environment, in which they can feel at home.
