Games, fun and educational prizes for the children from the Maricaban Primary School.

Project Description

The Maricaban Primary School is a public school which aims to offer Philippine children with a comprehensive basic education to give them the best possible chance in life. The school is situated in one of the poorest neighbourhoods in Manila and currently has more than 320 students, aged between 6 and 7 years old.
For exactly this reason Lyoness Philippines, the JKFoundation, the Rotary Club of Makati Northeast and the Rotary Club of East Rizal decided to organise an unforgettable day for the children. The aim of this first Philippines "Angel for a Day" project was to have various competitions with the children and then to treat them to lunch. In addition, they were also surprised with educational prizes, such as school books, school bags, teaching material for Chemistry and Biology lessons and slippers for the school. The prizes were intended to motivate the children in school even more, to increase their chance of a better life through their own hard work.
The day was a unique experience for the organisers and helpers and showed them how simple it is to make children in need smile.

We would like to thank all the helpers, Loyalty Merchants, Members and Sponsors who made this day possible:
