The first CFF Angel for a Day initiative in Hong Kong was successfully held on 8th August 2015. Being part of the Lyoness Community we assume social responsibility and it is thus our moral duty to take care of the well-being of children. This is why, together with our partner “The Hub”, we turned our words into deeds.
“The Hub” is an organisation committed to helping disadvantaged children and young people by creating better social and economic opportunities for them. As young people are the future of Hong Kong, “The Hub” is dedicated to giving children the opportunity to grow up in a better environment and to fulfil their dreams.
All 20 children were picked up at “The Hub” in the morning and brought to the Lyconet office, where their special day started with funny games such as face painting and balloon twisting and was followed by a fantastic magic show full of mystery and surprises! The kids then played treasure hunt, an exciting game consisting of eight challenging missions that needed to be accomplished, and afterwards learned useful and important things for life in a playful way and dressed up as superheroes. They learned things like giving their seats to pregnant women, shopping healthy groceries, identifying bad people or taking part in environmental protection by recycling materials.
At noon the children played Piñata, trying to break a giant moon filled with treats, and they had so much fun that their laughter brightened up the entire office. Hungry from playing all morning, the children were happy about the delicious lunch they got served. At the end of the day, each child had a big smile on their face – after all, they had had a joyful day playing the whole time, eating delicious food and on top of receiving gifts that were sponsored by our Marketers and Loyalty Merchants.
The day was a fantastic experience, and it is our goal to help on a more regularly basis because we to give the children back their hope of a better tomorrow. Of course, the many special moments of the day were captured.
We would like to thank everybody involved for their commitment to make the day such a success. Thank you to all the sponsoring Loyalty Merchants: Asia 4 Domestic Helper, Big Iron Bowl, CS Management Information Training Centre, Dance A Lili Ballet and Etiquette Academie, Events Artisan, Lo Chiu Vietnamese Restaurant, Skechers, Tell Me Wine & Catering, Tokyo Station Japan Toy Shop; and thank you to all the Marketers who volunteered to help with all the preparations and throughout the day.
The aim of this initiative was to prepare an unforgettable day for the children and young people, who are supported and are lovingly cared for by the social organisation “The Hub”.
