We bring a little joy to the lives of two wonderful people.

Project Description

For Javier and Andres, two men with mental disabilities, the Angel for a Day project made one day very special. Both men are cared for during the day by the "Carmen Pardo-Valcarce Foundation" and otherwise live with their single mothers. Due to their vision and hearing impairments they are very limited with what they can join in with in daily life at the institution as well as at home. The families’ financial situations are very strained so it has not been possible for them to fund special glasses for Javier or a much needed hearing aid for Andres.

As soon as the Lyoness Child & Family Foundation Association found out about this situation, it was determined that the Association could help to put a bit of joy back into the everyday lives of these two people. The Lyoness Child & Family Europe Association and the Lyoness Loyalty Merchant "Centro Optico y Auditivo Lozano" supplied the necessary glasses and hearing aid and several Lyoness Members and Lyconet Marketers were in attendance as they were handed over. But it wasn't just these two men who got a surprise. The other 15 children with mental disabilities in the "Carmen Pardo-Valcarce Foundation" were also provided with new school materials.

It was a special day, particularly for Javier and Andres, as the gifts they received are literally life-changing for them and will enable them to take part in life much more. We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who made this project possible.

A huge thank you goes out to the Club Diplomatie & Wirtschaft who made this project possible by donating the proceeds from a tombola from the CDW Presidents Golf Trophy.

Project Goals

The aim of this project was to provide glasses and a hearing aid for two men with disabilities, as their own families couldn't afford them due to financial difficulties. This will help the two men to be able to take part in life. In addition, 15 children with disabilities who are also cared for by the "Carmen Pardo-Valcarce Foundation" were provided with school bags and materials.
