A Cooperative Project of the Lyoness Child & Family Foundation Association and Lyoness Spain.
The current economic situation of countries like Spain has led to a drastic cutback in the support for low-income families. Especially the children of families that struggle to provide even the basic things for a good education, such as school books and utensils, were hit hard by this circumstances.
Therefore the Lyoness Child & Family Foundation Association and Lyoness Spain decided to initiate, for the first time in Spain, an “Angel for a Day”-Activity. The goal of this project was to provide six children and their families, which are threatened by social exclusion, with school books and learning materials.
In addition, and within the aim of the “Angel for a Day” initiative, an activity was organized together with Lyoness members and employees. We wanted to give the children and their families the opportunity to relax and enjoy a day outside of their daily routine. Highlights of the day were the visit to a riding stable, where the kids went horseback riding for the first time, the lunch together with all our volunteers and a wonderful afternoon at the beach. It was without a doubt an unforgettable day for everyone who took part.
A big thank you goes to all the Lyoness members and loyalty partners in the area around Denia (Alicante) as well as local businesses that supported this project!
According to Raquel Sánchez, a Lyoness member and organizer of the activity, the whole project was a great success and a big help for the families and children. “I think I have never heard the words >Thank you< so many times in one day; the children were thrilled and their families were extremely grateful.”, Raquel said after the day was over.
We would like to thank the following sponsors:
• Restaurante Il Frattelli
• Hípica Lledó
• Grupo Aquarea
• Lyoness Member Raquel Sánchez mit Team
