Ercin Filizli, Director of VISION UNLTD. CREATIVE WORX (VUCX), donated €56,000 for an original signed photo of Nelson Mandela.
During the Lyoness Sensation 2012 in the Vienna City Hall, a signed and framed photo of Nelson Mandela was auctioned in aid of the Child & Family Foundation. The photo was taken by the Lyoness.TV Team during a visit to see the Nobel Peace Prize winner in July 2012. The extraordinary photo (over the last few years Mandela has lived as a recluse and has avoided public appearances) implemented into a frame together with a collection of rare coins embossed with Nelson Mandela’s portrait make this photo one of a kind. Anyone interested had exactly 6 minutes and 40 seconds to enter their bids – a reminder of Mandela’s prisoner number “466” and “(19)64”, the year that he was imprisoned. After just 3 minutes the bids had already exceeded the €30,000 limit. The highest bid finally came from Germany; Ercin Filizli, Director of “VISION UNLTD. CREATIVE WORX” (VUCX), who produced the Lyoness video “All About Lyoness” made the winning bid – for an unbelievable €56,000. The entire proceeds of the auction went to the building of the No Moscow Primary School in Qunu, South Africa.
Filizli: “We bid on the photo so that that we, the VUCX Team, could contribute something to the unique school project in Qunu”. Director Ercin Filizli (VUCX) was invited to the opening of the school. “I am delighted about this extraordinary experience”.
We would like to give heartfelt thanks to Ercin Filizli and his Team from VUCX for the generous donation
