Social Commitment - Christoph Strasser personally hands over the winning bikes

During this year's "Race Across America" Christoph Strasser, loyal Ambassador of the Child and Family Foundation Assocation, auctioned the three bikes on which he won the races and broke world-records in aid of the CFF.

Shortly after his amazing triumph at the "Race Around Austria", Christoph decided to hand over the bikes to the winning bidders personally, and to go on an 80km bike ride with them around Southern Steiermark, to enable them to put the bikes through their paces for a test-ride. The riders made a stop along the way and took the time to get to know each other better, as well as to ask Christoph a few sporting and personal questions. It was an unbelievable experience for all the participants to be able to spend an afternoon with this exceptional athlete, and to enjoy an unforgettable bike ride with him.

Christoph was very pleased that the bike he used when he set the 24-hour world-record in Berlin will now have a place in the Berlin "Radladen" store (www.radladen.berlin) and is therefore returning to the place of origin for this memorable world-record.

The proceeds from the auction raised €17,500 which was donated to the CFF. This very generous donation will help us to implement new and existing education and aid projects, as well as helping us to support many children and families in need.

We would like to say a huge thank you to Christoph for his generous social commitment and for auctioning the bikes, which were sure to be prized possessions of his and, furthermore, for taking the time to personally hand them over to the winning bidders. And of course, we would also like to thank the three bike-lovers who bid for the bikes at the auction and supported the campaign.
