A turbulent year, in many ways

Many restrictions in the country affected also many aspects of the nigerian peopleĀ“s life. Closing of business, restrictions of free movement, lack of public transportation, rise of prices in the market, lack of food and basic daily life items broke in to the society wreaking havoc.

The school could not offer any more the food program daily and had to look for an alternative to maintain the pupils well nourished. Thus, during most part of this school year, the project director, Mrs. Amina in accordance with CFF guidelines and cooperation organized food distribution among the parents of the students. After classes, parents could line up and receive portions of basic  foods such as rice, beans, oil, potatoes and available veggies from the local markets.

Along the year, the crisis hit hard many parents by taking away their jobs or restricting drastically their source of income. Most of them have very humble and simple jobs and with the social prohibitions could not work or sell their products or offer their services such as gardening, construction and alike.

The social crisis escalated in the last weeks and recently the world has been witnessing demonstrations in Lagos and other cities in Nigeria  and crashes between citizens and the burtality of national police.
Unfortnately, the CFF can help and intervene little in the lives of these 350 children and their community. But nevertheless, an important and crucial help for their lives, their families and their future.
