Various development programs in Children's Home Pauline

Assisted living and in-patient help for children from problematic family backgrounds.

Not all children are lucky enough to come from a loving home. If it is no longer possible for them to live with their parents, children's homes try to provide them with a safe place, in which the children can grow up and learn to deal with their situation.

The children's home 'Pauline's' chief task is to provide children, teenagers and parents, who find themselves caught in domestic conflict, with support and relief in order to help them to overcome their problems. The children and teenagers, the majority of whom struggle with domestic issues, experiences of violence or behavioural problems, are either accommodated in external residential groups or in assisted living in special groups.

A wide range of support services for children and teenagers

Focused tutoring, sports courses (such as swimming), alongside varied leisure activities and group holidays, support their educational and personal development. Hyperactive children benefit predominantly from the children's home 'Pauline's' sports programmes as it enables them to better control and channel their excess energy. Comprehensive care and supportive measures provide the children and teenagers with an essential feeling of safety, security, and belonging to a group, which is what is lacking most in their respective family environments.

The Child & Family Foundation supports the children's home's leisure programme.

The non-profit children's home 'Pauline' receives a little financial support from the state, meaning that the constant need for intensive supportive measures cannot be sufficiently met. It is for this reason that the Child & Family Foundation supports the children's home and facilitates, for example, the provision of 10 bicycles for the home's exercise programmes.
