Four charity events brought the magic of Christmas to Poland

The marathon of events started on 6 December. With the help of the myWorld Community, the Polish Hygiene and Health Association organised a wonderful St. Nicholas event for 45 children in need in Gliwice-Sośnica With joint forces, sweets were procured and vouchers were organised and later on presented to the excited children.

The second "Angel for a Day" event took place on 8 December. The Polish myWorld Community organised a carefree day for children with disabilities who are looked after at a children's home in Gdańsk. A collective dance performance, magic tricks and a beautiful bubble show sparked the children's enthusiasm. As a special highlight, the little ones received a visit from St. Nicholas himself, who brought them many presents. In addition, the children's home also received a large TV including speakers and a karaoke machine. On 13 December, the carers of the nursing and therapy centre at the children's home "Dom im. J. Korczaka" in Gdańsk received a great surprise by being invited to a football match of Lechia Gdańsk. This time-out was a welcome change from an often challenging job and did the carers, who lovingly look after 45 children with mental and
physical disabilities, a lot of good.

The crowning glory of this "Angel for a Day" Christmas initiative took place on 22 December. The incredible myWorld Community showed great commitment by donating a popcorn machine to the children who are cared for at the organisation "Serduszko na Dłoni", and also gifted a treadmill to a foster family with nine children and an Xbox including a Kinect dashboard to a foster family with seven children.
