Project location secured for the future

Projeto Textil can look back on a successful first half of the year in which an important milestone was reached in the history of the project: the long-term project location has been confirmed!

At the beginning of the year, there was reason enough for all Projeto Textil participants to celebrate: The building in which the project is housed was purchased by our collaborative partners Associação das Costureiras Artesanais e Educação Sustentável de Parajuru! What's particularly good news is that previous years' profits provided the necessary funding required for the venture. Thanks to this, new ways of developing the project can be implemented and the standard of education raised. This newly-won independence makes it possible for the Projeto Textil to grow and to further develop the sustainability of all processes. Hopefully, the range of courses on offer can soon be expanded – the women are already looking forward to the new developments!

Kite bags and more for the Elite Seminar

The kite bags produced by Projeto Textil and other textile products produced using upcycling were up for sale at the Lyconet Elite Seminar. This year, the event took place in the Veltins Arena in Gelsenkirchen, Germany. The visitors to the event were enthusiastic about the high-quality textile goods – many of the 30,000 participants made a point of taking advantage of this and jumped at the great offers. A great way to showcase the participants' excellent work.

In our projects, our main focus is on educational support, especially in our school projects. We believe that education is the pathway to empower people to build a better future for themselves.

Continuously supporting schools in their operation is just as well part of our work as is the construction and improvement of school infrastructure. Creating access to a secure educational environment free of charge in poor regions with comparatively high educational costs and inadequate public facilities is our goal.

Hundreds of children attend our schools around the world, from India to Central America, from South Africa to the Philippines, thanks to the generosity of our heroes.

Many women and men support us and have supported us through generous donations.
