Once again the San Roque Elementary School has received the Brigada Eskwela Award

Just before Christmas, the Philippine Department of Education once again awarded a prize to the country’s best-equipped school. The San Roque Elementary School had already won the Brigada Eskwela Award in previous years. Thanks to the great commitment of the Lyoness Child & Family Foundation, the school was completely refurbished in 2012 and optimised in many areas in the following years. In addition, the learning environment has been improved through the “Health & Nutrition Program”, a hygiene program, and the construction of a school garden.

San Roque Elementary School - Brigada Eskwela Award – An Educational Project of the Child & Family Foundation

This year, the tension was even bigger than in previous years, as the school had been nominated for the Brigada Eskwela Award on a regional level, as well as in the Southern Leyte Division. The awarding ceremony took place on 9 December 2015.

There was great joy when the results were announced: The San Roque Elementary School came in first in the Southern Leyte Division and second in the regional category. The trophies were handed over to school principal Florena G. Delen by Dr. Arturo S. Isip, the supervisor of the Division, and the local governor. We are proud to have been able to receive these awards again and we already look forward to a successful year 2016.

We would like to thank all Sponsors, Lyoness Members, Loyalty Merchants, Lyconet Marketers, and the local team of teachers and parents, who make the school a place where the children can develop in the best possible way.
