"Recreation Days" are a standard part of the curriculum. Days full of exercise, community and lots of laughter.

An eventful day with the parents - Escuela Lyoness

This year, the big "Recreation Day" events took place in May, July and August. On these days, the parents also come to school - but not to learn. They come to spend the day having fun and exercise with the kids. These days are all about bringing the community together to have fun. At the last two Recreation Days, traditional games took centre stage, which brought back childhood memories for the parents, as did flying kites. And at Escuela Lyoness, such a day must include a football match too!

In our projects, our main focus is on educational support, especially in our school projects. We believe that education is the pathway to empower people to build a better future for themselves.

Continuously supporting schools in their operation is just as well part of our work as is the construction and improvement of school infrastructure. Creating access to a secure educational environment free of charge in poor regions with comparatively high educational costs and inadequate public facilities is our goal.

Hundreds of children attend our schools around the world, from India to Central America, from South Africa to the Philippines, thanks to the generosity of our heroes.

Many women and men support us and have supported us through generous donations.

Nevertheless, only a few have taken the responsibility, the challenge, and the courage to donate regularly through our sponsorship programme.
