The new "Nelson Mandela No-Moscow Primary School" opens its doors

Following a nine-month project, the new "Nelson Mandela No-Moscow Primary School", in Qunu, South Africa, was finished and Luvuyo Hlanganani Mandela, Nelson Mandela's great-grandchild, and CFF ceremonially opened the school on 15th March 2013!

The school is located in the birthplace of Nelson Mandela, the famous Nobel Prize winner and former President of South Africa. The No-Moscow Prinmary School was badly in need of renovation; in 2002, it was badly damaged by a storm.

Over the past nine months, the building has been completely rebuilt.

The 228 pupils now have seven classrooms, a pre-school classroom, modern sanitary facilities, a conference room, an IT room, a library, a kitchen, an arts and crafts room, administrative offices, a playground and sports field as well as new teaching material at their disposal.

In our projects, our main focus is on educational support, especially in our school projects. We believe that education is the pathway to empower people to build a better future for themselves.

Continuously supporting schools in their operation is just as well part of our work as is the construction and improvement of school infrastructure. Creating access to a secure educational environment free of charge in poor regions with comparatively high educational costs and inadequate public facilities is our goal.
